DYNAUDIO’S NEW MASTERING MONITORS

Dynaudio has introduced its new M5P Evidence mastering monitor at AES in LA. If you’re a purchaser, your M5P will be built by hand to custom order in Denmark.

Passive and floor-standing, the M5P is derived from the Evidence Platinum high-end speaker and is the first studio monitor to feature Dynaudio Directivity Control (DDC) which helps reduce reflections from floors and ceilings for better transparency and detail professional audio environments. Being a far-field monitor, it’s recommended to listen to M5P Evidence at a distance of 3m or more. The basic design is a five-way crossover approach, featuring 4 x seven-inch woofers, 2 x five-inch midrange cones, and 2 x 28mm tweeters with crossover frequencies at 290Hz, 480Hz, 2.2kHz and 8.5kHz. The stated frequency response area covers 28Hz to 25kHz and the speakers are capable of handling up to 550W at 4ohms.
