Klevgränd is a creative studio and audio plugin company based in Stockholm, Sweden. It is run by musicians, software developers, music producers, and sound designers. Since 2014, the company has been a rapidly growing player in the audio plugin scene, becoming known for its affordable, high-quality, and easy-to-use effects and instruments. Klevgränds goal is to encourage the creative process of users, regardless of their level of expertise.
FreeAMP is the stripped-down version of Klevgränd’s REAMP plugin, which is a complex spectral saturation processor that simulates a range of analogue gear. These plugins benefit from an algorithm that is CPU efficient and virtually latency-free. FreeAMP may look simple, but all the algorithms from the full version are still accessible albeit, in a single, universal role — with tape and tube saturation processing being combined. It can be used on anything that needs to be vitalised, from single tracks, stems, or full mixes.
While it does require an account, FreeAMP is free to use. Until unlocked, the plugin will start in Demo Mode — fully functional but with occasional audio disruptions. To unlock the Full Mode users will need to obtain and enter a license code.
