Sixth Sample is a Finnish-based plugin company founded by Aapo Vainonen, who after finding that most plugins used in computer-based audio production were unnecessarily complex, looked to provide tools to circumvent this. While filling this need, Aapo began to build plugins that he wished existed, and with a company mission that seeks to ‘make music production effortless’ these had to function in a way that didn’t disrupt a normal workflow with steep learning curves. Vainonen says, “Making music is all about having fun and the unparalleled feeling of creation. Sixth Sample plugins are, from the very beginning, built around this idea.”
